Desire Luzinda has been given 1 week to clear the 27 million debt she owes a Cavendish lecturer or face a jail term. The Ekitone singer was arrested On Saturday morning at Entebbe International airport after coming from Congo where she had gone to perform.

Desire was heavily in debt  late last year and was arrested for failing to pay back  a local money lender. It is former Mayor Ssebagala who saved her from going to jail.

New revelations are emerging that Desire borrowed the money on July 2014 under the pseudo name Rachel Nancy. She recently turned down a job offer from Capital FM and the reasons are clear. She is working twice as hard to pay up her debt which is believed to be around 100 million.
