The rate at which Igwe is calling Nolly Wood actors is really alarming: After the recent deaths of Sam Loco Efe, Geraldine Ekeocha, Ahmed Alasari, Akin Ogungbe, Ashley Nwosu, Dento, Taiwo Bello and Pete Eneh, we are indeed sorry to announce that another very instrumental and veteran actor Enebeli Elebuwa has died.

Elebuwa died in the wee hours on Wednesday morning in an Indian hospital in New Delhi where he had been referred after conditions dictated. He has been battling with stroke and other side effects for that the last one year until Igwe decided to call him.

The immediate President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Mr. Segun Arinze, confirmed Elebuwa’s death.

He said, “He fought gallantly. He was a great actor. We all called him Andrew but unfortunately, he has checked out.

Elebuwa started acting in 1967 and was loved by Nolly wood fans for acting as Igwe or king in most cases. Some of his movies are Lost Kingdom, Abuja Connection, Sensational, Dons in Abuja, The Corridors of Power, Men Do Cry, Who Will Tell The President, and Royal War.

Elebuwa’s death is sad news to all lovers of the Nollywood movies and he will surely be missed.
